The Global Journal of Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences (GJMPS) follows a rigorous and transparent peer review process to ensure the publication of high-quality scholarly research. The peer review system is designed to maintain the integrity, reliability, and academic quality of the journal.
The journal follows a double-blind peer review process, in which the identities of both the authors and the reviewers are kept confidential. This approach ensures impartial and unbiased evaluation of manuscripts.
All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial screening by the editorial office and the Editor-in-Chief to determine whether the submission:
Falls within the scope of the journal
Meets the journal’s formatting and submission requirements
Demonstrates sufficient academic quality and originality
Complies with ethical publishing standards
Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be rejected before external peer review.
Manuscripts passing the initial screening are assigned to independent expert reviewers who possess relevant expertise in the subject area of the manuscript. Typically, each manuscript is evaluated by two or more reviewers.
Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on several criteria, including:
Scientific originality and significance
Methodological soundness
Validity of data and analysis
Relevance to the journal’s scope
Clarity and quality of presentation
Reviewers provide detailed comments and recommendations to assist the editors in making a final decision.
Based on the reviewers’ reports and editorial assessment, the Editor-in-Chief may reach one of the following decisions:
Accept the manuscript for publication
Accept with minor revisions
Request major revisions and resubmission
Reject the manuscript
Authors will receive the reviewers’ comments and will be given an opportunity to revise their manuscripts when revisions are requested.
All manuscripts submitted to the journal are treated as confidential documents. Reviewers and editors must not disclose or use any unpublished information for personal advantage.
The peer review process follows internationally recognized ethical standards recommended by COPE and ICMJE. Reviewers are expected to provide objective, constructive, and timely evaluations.
Any conflicts of interest must be declared, and reviewers should decline to review manuscripts where impartiality may be compromised.
